You Always Wanted to Know..

We always struggle with what to put into "About Me" sections on the blog.  Instead of giving you the same boring facts that you probably already knew about us (if you're reading this blog, you likely know one or both of us), we decided to use a fun survey method instead.  We answered these prompts without one another, and then just put them together.  Enjoy.

I am…
S:  "I am loud, straight-forward, sappy, romantic, dependable and honest."
J: "I am very tired right now.  I didn't sleep very well last night."

I hate..
S:  "I hate insecure people who lash out at others due to their own insecurity.  I hate that there are people in this world without empathy for others.  I hate having to repeat myself.  I hate the texture of children's backpacks and 'cheap' paperclips."
J: "I hate folding laundry."

I fear..
S: "I fear dead bodies (human and otherwise), bees/spiders/snakes, drowning (even though I'm a great swimmer), suffocating (do you see a pattern?), losing those closest to me, lies, roller coasters and a world without liberal people."
J: "I fear nightmares, because I never know I'm dreaming until I wake up!  Then I'm usually scared and need to snuggle the dog."

I hear..
S: "I hear people's conversations from tables away, but often have to have Jeff repeat things to me from 2 feet away.  I hear that I'm a morning person and that it annoys my co-workers from time to time.  I hear the unmistakable pop of a snare drum and get goosebumps.  I hear Jeff sing the wrong lyrics to songs daily."
J: "I hear music playing out of my iPhone.  It's classical music, which is my favorite to listen to while working."

I search..
S: "I search for remedies to every day problems on Google multiple times a day.  I also search for matching socks more than I would like to admit."
J: "I search for socks every morning.  I need to buy some new ones."

I wonder..
S: "I wonder how my mom became so smart (the woman always has the answer).  I wonder how eHarmony thought that Jeff and I would be a good match, even though we're slightly opposite (they were so correct though).  I wonder how people survived before Pandora and texting."
J: "I wonder what the next few years will bring.  Life is very exciting right now."

I regret..
S: "I try not to regret anything.  Maybe I regret not jumping the barricade and planting a kiss on JC Chasez at Jingle Ball 2006?"
J: "I regret very little.  Regret is for people who don't like learning experiences."

I love..
S: "I love Zeta Pi Lambda, spelling large words correctly, correcting other people's bad grammar, dance parties in my pajamas or in the car (or in the car in my pajamas), BMW (no seriously, I do..and not just because I work there), playing the drums, sweat pants, animals and animal-related causes, flip-flops, Starbucks (though I don't like coffee), night clubs, art museums, dancing, great shoes, sales, coupons, guys in suits, high heels, the ocean, professional wrestling, Cheesy Gordita Crunches, sports, action movies, candles, boys who smell great, my mom’s spaghetti sauce, going out to dinner, making wishes, Seattle, Post-Its, date nights, board games, weddings (mine or otherwise), taking pictures, being DTU sweetheart, being overly involved, my best friends, working out, playing soccer and meeting for drinks."
J: "I love my wife and my pup (but not when he's being a whiny baby)."

I ache..
S: "I ache more often than I thought possible at age 26.  Knees, hips, back.. holy crap."
J: "I ache all over from Insanity yesterday."
I always..
S: "I always correct Jeff's driving (though he's a great driver), put way too much ice into my water, chew my finger nails, remember how lucky I am to have what I have, try to avoid buying new jeans and tell myself that I should stop worrying about things I can't control (like Ohio State winning a national football title)."
J: "I always drink coffee first thing in the morning, but I also drink water (so that I don't develop an ulcer)."

I usually..
S: "I usually spend more time cuddling the dog than getting ready in the morning."
J: "I usually sleep very well at night.  Last night was an aberration."

I am not..
S: "I am not a girly-girl, I am not shy or quiet, and I am not easily dissuaded from doing what I want to do."
J: "I am not packed for my trip yet (need to get on that)."

I dance..
S: "I dance everywhere."
J: "I dance like I have two left feet.  I like to do it, but I'm not very good at it."

I sing..
S: "I sing poorly, but loudly and frequently."
J: "I sing in the car whenever I'm by myself.  The singing sometimes prevents me from learning the right words (because I sing the wrong ones.. loudly)."

I never..
S: "I never rush to a decision, let others do things for me or drive somewhere without solid directions."
J: "I never really excelled at playing cornhole.  Now that we have our own boards, I might have a chance at that."

I rarely..
S: "I rarely finish all of my beverages, drive under the speed limit, go a day without swearing or receive a compliment without getting embarassed."
J: "I rarely wear sunglasses, and it makes me squint.  In fact, I just read that people with blue eyes need sunglasses more due to the way light interacts with pupil color!"

I cry..
S: "I cry at every sappy commercial, happy or climactic moment in a movie and when I see baby animals/birds/fish/amphibians/humans doing cute things."
J: "I cry rarely in serious moments, but somewhat frequently during emotional movies!"

I am not always..
S: "I am not always good about letting others lead, and I am not always right (though it's hard to admit)."
J: "I am not always good at remembering to do things unless I give myself a visual reminder, like a note."

I lose..
S: "I lose my patience early on when assembling something, my sunglasses frequently and my mind when someone says that Robert Pattinson isn't attractive."
J: "I lose pretty well.  I'm pretty good about not being a sore loser."

I’m confused..
S: "I'm confused about what I want to be when I grow up."
J: "I'm confused about very little.  I do everything I can to avoid confusion."

I need..
S: "I need DVR'd television, my DVD and music collection, my Winnie the Pooh blanket, crisp sheets, thunderstorms and candlelight."
J: "I need to take a nap.  Seriously, I'm very tired today."

I should..
S: "I should swear less, tackle only one project at a time, stop volunteering for too many things, learn to relax and enjoy the moment more and stop trying to ensure that everyone else is happy."
J: "I should be sure to do the dishes tonight."

I dream..
S: "I dream in color.  I dream of things that I'm sure I can make happen.  I dream of a world where everyone is friendly to one another and I can have all of the ice cream I want."
J: "I dream of a world with no discrimination."

I wish..S: "I wish my grandparents were still around to have met my husband, to see my first home and to meet their great grandchildren (whenever we have them).  I wish all resources were renewable.  I wish the Packers won the Super Bowl every year."
J: "I wish that I could remember to things the first time, every time."

I have..S: "I have no time for closed-minded people. I have an addiction to entertainment news, a healthy fear of insects and an uncanny ability to remember almost everything ever said to me."
J: "I have had almost no meetings this week.  It's helped me be very productive in my individual projects."

I want..S: "I want world peace (no, really), to never lose contact with good friends, free airline tickets for life, to learn more languages, happy and healthy children and an unlimited house-project budget."
J: "I want the weekend to be here so I can see my parents and see some of my Michigan friends."
